SUMMARY:Pocketful of Nichols
DESCRIPTION:We’ll kick things off for 2022 with our usual route. \nThis is one of the old Quad Cities routes but it was always a favorite of mine. Nice roll out of the Eldridge Quality Inn through Bennett\, Wilton and out to the turnaround at Nichols. Not a whole lot of climbing but on occasion the wind can make this route a toughie! SUMMARY:Point me to Peosta 300K
DESCRIPTION:Ramping up the miles with our 300K up to Peosta. \nThis route is a small variation on the old “Eldridge North 300K” route. It eliminates most of the stretch along the river on US-52 into Bellevue. Although I always enjoyed riding that stretch when there weren’t any cars\, that was seldom the case on nice Saturdays when the road would be filled with cars\, motorcycles\, etc.\, sharing the narrow\, no-shoulder two lane. The route still does go through Bellevue for a short stop before pushing on North to Peosta.
